Series of events “Makers Innovation Award” is a project aimed at fostering social cohesion/recovery in Ukraine and connecting makers and makers spaces to popularize makers movement by supporting innovative ideas from Ukrainian inventors.

The first event (Idea Cultivation Workshop) took place on January 19, 2024, in Kyiv. All makers (who have registered) participated in a workshop aimed at improving their existing and developing new ideas on how to help Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. The second (main event) – Makers Innovation Award occurred on March 1, 2024, also in Kyiv. Jury members chose and awarded 8 winners with a grant to grow their projects in terms of education, tech innovation, popularization, and new possibilities.

The “Makers Innovation Award” is organized by betterplace lab and Future Challenges in the framework of TOLOCAR, a project funded by the German Government and implemented by the GIZ with support of At Stake gGmbH in close collaboration with Ukrainian and international partners. AroundB acted as an organizational partner.
